About Me
I am Vice President of Science for Impact in the Betty and Gordon Moore Center for Science and Solutions at Conservation International.
I work on problems at the intersection of climate, population, and land use and land cover change research, using a mixture of remote sensing, spatial modeling and statistics, and social survey techniques to investigate relationships between human and environmental change.
Research Interests
- Land Protection & Restoration: Incentivizing and supporting action by governments and the private sector to protect, manage, and restore land
- Remote Sensing & Spatial Analysis: Leveraging remote sensing and other spatial tools to explore interactions among climate, land use and land cover change, and livelihoods
- Data Integration: Methods and tools for integrating large social and biophysical datasets to inform conservation
